A Warm Welcome to Fflora

Hi! I’m Rhiannon Odey—a content creator based in the beautiful countryside of Wales with a passion for horticulture, slow living, and all things green. Today, I’m thrilled to welcome you to Fflora, a space where houseplants, gardening, mindfulness, and self-care come together to create something truly special.

Back in 2023, I embarked on a journey to combine my love for plants with my professional aspirations. Creating content with my houseplants started as a way to build my portfolio and showcase my digital marketing skills to potential employers. But it quickly became so much more than that. Through TikTok—and what was then called @plantswithrhi—I found a community of like-minded plant lovers. Sharing tips, tricks, and even some of my plant mishaps brought me closer to people who share the same joy in nurturing nature, no matter the size of their space.

What started as a side project blossomed into a passion-driven endeavor that exceeded all my expectations. My TikTok page gained an incredible following, which opened doors to collaborations with brands I’d always admired. Along the way, I discovered the immense joy of connecting with others over shared interests and helping people create their own little green havens at home.

Fast-forward to today, and I’m beyond excited to introduce Fflora. This website has been a dream of mine for years—a place where I can write freely and share more in-depth content than a TikTok video or Instagram post allows. Fflora is my way of giving back to the community that’s inspired me so much. It’s a space to explore houseplants, gardening, and all the ways nature can enrich our lives, whether through mindfulness practices, creating a cosy home, or simply appreciating the beauty of a thriving Monstera leaf.

Why “Fflora”?

Choosing a name was one of the most exciting—and challenging—parts of this project. I wanted something that felt personal and meaningful, a name that reflected both my Welsh heritage and my love for horticulture. “Fflora” isn’t a Welsh word, but it’s inspired by the Welsh language and the concept of flora, symbolising plants, growth, and the beauty of nature. The double “f” is a nod to the Welsh alphabet, blending my roots with my passions.

For me, Fflora represents more than just a love for plants—it’s a celebration of the connection between nature and our well-being. It’s a reminder to slow down, nurture growth in our lives (both literally and figuratively), and find joy in the small, green moments that brighten our days.

I’m so grateful you’re here to share in this journey. If you’re as excited as I am about Fflora, you can follow along on Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest at @ffloraplants. There, you’ll find a mix of quick tips, plant styling ideas, and a behind-the-scenes look at my life as a content creator.

Thank you for being part of this little corner of the internet. Your support means the world to me, and I can’t wait to see how Fflora grows—both online and in the lives of the wonderful community it brings together.
